Volleyball Season Comes to an End

For the past couple of months these teams have practicing and playing games with support from their coaches Ms. Forman and Mrs. Edwards.  On Thursday, the season came to an end with some excellent displays of skill at the School District Tournament. Congratulations to all players for the huge progress, and a big thank you to Ms. Forman and Mrs. Edwards for putting in the time with coaching.

Whole School Assembly on Courage

For the past few weeks, we have a learning about courage.  Our students understand that courage is not the absence of fear but is about being afraid and doing the right thing anyway, just like a Mother Bear does when protecting her cubs.

In today's assembly, Ms. Hayward's class showed courage by performing a drum song they have been learning with Mr. Willard Wallace.   Mrs. Price's class then showed us the Wheels of Courage they created with many students stepping out of their comfort zone to speak about their strengths, fears, hopes and inspirations.

Remembrance Assembly

In this morning's assembly we took time to reflect and to show our gratitude for those who have served and sacrificed. Their legacy lives on in the freedoms we enjoy today.

Alyssa, Alivia and Dakota led us through the recognition and we had guest drummer Willard Wallace performing a song.  Naman read Flanders Fields and Nixon read a letter from Private Leslie Neufeld,  a parachutist writing home before the D-Day landing.  Our singing group also performed a beautiful tribute to those who have served with a rendition of 'This Remembrance Day'
